Infrared Brazil

I've visited Brazil many times in the last decade, each time getting a slightly different perspective. These are some of my infrared photos of São Paolo, Rio De Janeiro and a variety of places in the state of Ceara. I enjoy the different perspective and feel that infrared lends to the photographs.

In 2003, I first met someone who would change my life in many ways - a native of Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, my future wife, and ambassador of the beautiful culture of Brazil.  In 2004, I made my first trip there, and over the many trips throughout the years, I have made some time to photograph there.  One of the approaches I have taken is shooting some infrared photographs, which (to a degree) eliminate the typical "tropical" feel.  The photos below cover locations in São Paulo, Rio De Janeiro, and the Nordeste state of Ceara.
